ORIGINAL CANOPY TOUR

The ORIGINAL CANOPY TOURŪ in Monteverde is not only amazing adventure travel but it is one of the most popular Cloud Forest tours in the Costa Rica. This is where the Canopy Tour was invented!

Located high up near the peek of Costa Rica's distinguished Monteverde Cloud Forest is where the first The ORIGINAL CANOPY TOURŪ was created. .

The tour starts with a short, guided hike through the private 70-acre reserve of the Cloud Forest. The first part of the tour will take you through primary (old growth) and secondary (new growth) forest. As you coast along the treetops listen closely for the vast variety of birds that can be seen and heard throughout the preserve. Then, just when you think you have become one with the canopy we get your blood pumping with a drop back down to the forest floor.

During this tour you will have the opportunity to climb up through the inside of a strangler fig and then shimmy along a walkway that winds around the various trees that the strangler fig has consumed in its lifetime. This makes for an unbeatable vantage point for observing the surrounding rainforest where bird watching abounds!

Schedule: 7:30 am, 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Duration: 2 and 2.5 hours depending upon group size and needs.   $45.00 per person
