
12 Day / 11 Night ~ Birds, Birds, & more Birds – to the Braulio Carillo Rainforest to the Jungles of Tortuguero to the Cloud Forests of Monteverde to the high mountains of the Cerro de los Muertos you WILL see the birds of Costa Rica!
Day 1 - On arrival in San Jose you will be met and taken to the Hotel Club Martino and Spa. In the afternoon you are welcome to walk across the street and visit the Zoo Ave or Bird Zoo (entrance not included) returning for dinner is included.Back to the Packages Main PageDay 2 - After breakfast you will drive through the Braulio Carrillo Rainforest to the Hotel Sueno Azul in the afternoon you will take a bird watching guided tour with a bi-lingual guide. L& D
Day 3 - Hotel Sueno Azul enjoy birding watching with a bi-lingual guide B-L-D
Day 4 - Morning transfer to the Rio Danta Restaurant for breakfast and to meet the van from Mawamba Lodge for a 2 day experience in the Jungles of Tortuguero. B-L-D
Day 5 - Mawamba Lodge enjoying the boat and hiking tours of the Jungle of Tortuguero all with a bi-lingual guide. B-L-D
Day 6 - early morning flight from Tortuguero to San Jose to meet a van that will take you to Monteverde staying at the Hotel Montana Monteverde. The afternoon will be spent in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve with a bi-lingual guide B L & D
Day 7 - In the morning you will enjoy Selvatura Hanging bridges and Canopy tour then after lunch you are free to explore the almost magical wonders of Monteverde; over nighting again at the Hotel Montana Monteverde. Afternoon at leisure. B-L-D
Day 8 – Morning at leisure to explore. Noon departure from Monteverde where you will be taken to the Hotel Villa Lapas for your overnight. B-Monteverde Lunch not included – D Villa Lapas
Day 9 - after breakfast you will enjoy a tour of the Carrara National Park with a bi-lingual guide; returning to the hotel for lunch before your transfer will head up the mountains to San Jose over nighting at the Apartotel La Sabana in the western part of San Jose. B-L- D
Day 10 - early in the morning the van from the Savagre Mountain Lodge which will pick you up at your hotel and head up the mountains on the InterAmerican Highway crossing the Cerro de La Muerte before arriving at the lodge for a full day of birding with the Resplendent Quetzal as the bird most sought after in this area. B - L - D
Day 11 – Morning birding then following a time to relax you will head back down the mountains to San Jose spending the night at the Apartotel La Sabana. Lunch and Dinner are not included.
Day 12 - a private van at the appointed hour will take you back to the International Airport to connect with your international flight home.
